FFF: "I am confident that an agreement can be reached with GL events in the coming weeks" (P. Diallo)

"Discussions with GL events (which holds the concession to operate the Stade de France) have been ongoing since September. Our positions have grown closer and I am confident that an agreement can be reached in the coming weeks so that the French national team can return to this stadium that is so close to its heart," said Philippe Diallo, president of the Fédération Française de Football, at a press briefing organised at the end of the body's executive committee meeting on 16/10/2025.

Unlike the French Rugby Federation (FFR), whose negotiations with GL events came to a successful conclusion several months ago, the FFF is still in talks with the group specialising in event management in order to improve the financial terms for hosting its matches at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, FRA), which the Federation deemed to be overly disadvantageous under the terms of the previous concession agreement (signed with the Vinci-Bouygues consortium).

For reasons unrelated to these ongoing negotiations, the Stade de France may also be unable to host the next Coupe de France Crédit Agricole…
