Juventus FC: UEFA opens investigation into potential breach of permitted losses

"With reference to the Football Earnings Rule, on 18/09/2025, as is customary in similar situations for clubs participating in UEFA competitions, the club received from UEFA notification of the initiation of proceedings for the potential breach of the same rule for the three years 2022-23 to 2024-25," said Juventus FC (Serie A Enilive) in its 2024-25 financial report published on 16/10/2025.

"The outcome of this procedure - which will also take into account the prospects for the current year and for future years of all UEFA economic-financial parameters - is expected for the spring of 2026 and could give rise to a possible economic sanction of presumably insignificant amount as well as possible sports restrictions (such as, for example, restrictions on the registration of new players in the UEFA competition lists)," added Juventus.

UEFA's Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Regulations limit the permitted losses for clubs to €60m over a period of three consecutive financial years. This amount may be increased by €10m per year if clubs meet four conditions that UEFA considers…
