Lagardère Unlimited: record turnover of €153m in Q1 2015 (+108.3%)

The marketing and media rights agency Lagardère Unlimited achieved a turnover of €153m in the first quarter of the 2015 fiscal year (which ended 31/03/2015), up 108.3% on a reported basis year on year (€73m), stated the French media group Lagardère on 12/05/2015. This is a quarterly sales record for Lagardère Unlimited, created in 2010 and which replaced Lagardère Sport, founded in 2007.

On a like-for-like basis, the increase in sales was +85.1% (see explanation below). The sharp rise in the turnover of Lagardère Unlimited is "mainly attributable to a favourable calendar effect from the organisation of two major continent-wide football competitions, in Africa and Asia: AFCON 2015 held in Equatorial Guinea and the 2015 Asian Cup held in Australia. The start of the year also saw ramping up in new activities, particularly the management of stadiums, with a contribution from new contracts awarded in 2014 (Friends Arena in Stockholm and Groupama Arena in Budapest)," indicated Lagardère.
