Basic-Fit: Clever Fit franchise network (493 fitness studios in seven countries) acquired for €175m

Basic-Fit has acquired Clever Fit, a German company that operates a network of 493 gyms in seven European countries (including 454 franchises and 39 company-owned gyms), for €160m in cash, plus €15m in additional consideration, announced the Dutch fitness chain listed on the stock exchange (Euronext Amsterdam) on 27/10/2025. The transaction is due to be completed before the end of 2025 and does not require regulatory approval.

Clever Fit, based in Landsberg am Lech (Bavaria), operates in Germany (406 clubs), Austria (48 clubs), Switzerland (20 clubs), Slovenia (15 clubs), Romania (two clubs), Croatia (one club) and the Czech Republic (one club). The network has around 1 million members.
