Champions League: Juventus guaranteed to top projected gains (€80.3m), ahead of Barcelona (€53.2m)

FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) and Juventus (Serie A TIM), qualified for the final of the 2014-15 Champions League (at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, GER on Saturday 06/06/2015 at 20:45 CET), will receive at least €32.4m and €30.9m, respectively, in financial gains (€8.6m fixed portion for their participation + sporting result bonuses) paid by UEFA as part of their progression in this competition. The winner of the 60^th final of the Champions League will receive another €4m.

These amounts do not include the variables which are related to the "market pool" of TV rights of domestic television markets in the Champions League (see below). During the 2013-14 edition, there was €79,995,000 of TV "market pool" money shared amongst the three Italian clubs that participated in the group stage (and further) of the Champions League (€67,311,000 amongst the four Spanish clubs in the competition). The final amount of the "market pool" of each country and the exact distribution of these amounts between the participating clubs from that country cannot be known until the conclusion of the competition…
