Milano Cortina 2026: Uber (taxis) becomes the 20^th official sponsor of the Winter Games

The American ride-sharing and transportation application application Uber has become an official sponsor of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, announced the IOC on 29/10/2025, 100 days before the opening ceremony of the Games.

Uber will make 5,000 "locally engaged" drivers available to the 1.5 million visitors expected to visit the four Games clusters (Milan, Cortina, Valtellina and Val di Fiemme). "There will be loading and unloading areas dedicated exclusively to Uber passengers at the Olympic and Paralympic venues. These areas will be supported by detailed directions built into the app and real-time mapping to minimise congestion and waiting times," explained the IOC.

The group thus becomes the 20^th brand to be ranked 4^th in the competition's sponsorship hierarchy. The Milano Cortina 2026 sponsorship programme brings together a total of 56 partners, including the IOC's 11 TOP partners.
