Puma: 900 jobs to be cut worldwide "in response to the expected significant sales decline"

"In response to the expected significant sales decline and lower sales base, Puma is taking another decisive step to address its elevated operating expenses. Puma plans a targeted reduction of additional around 900 white-collar roles globally (total number: around 7,000, or 12.9%) by the end of 2026, after 500 roles were already cut in 2025," announced the German equipment manufacturer on 30/10/2025.

"Costs and savings of the expanded programme will be further evaluated and communicated with more details in due course," added Puma.

The equipment manufacturer reported a 10.4% decline in sales "on a currency-adjusted basis" to €1.96bn in the third quarter, slightly below the €1.98bn expected by analysts.

Turnover for the first nine months of 2025 fell by 4.3% to €5.974bn, with declines across all regions and product divisions.
