Wage bill: "LDLC ASVEL non-compliant with minimum expenditure requirement" (Euroleague Basketball)

"Upon completion of the compliance review, LDLC ASVEL (Betclic Élite) was found to be non-compliant with the minimum expenditure requirement of 80% at the close of the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season Round 1 registration process, as stipulated in Article 10.8 of the regulations," announced the European body on 03/11/2025, on the occasion of the publication of its first compliance report on the "Competition Balance Standards" rules concerning clubs taking part in European competitions. These rules come into force with effect from the 2025-26 season.

In terms of payroll, the 20 teams participating in the 2025-26 EuroLeague must comply with a spending cap, but also a minimum investment in their squad, in accordance with Article 10.8 of the Financial Sustainability & Fair Play regulations. This minimum amount is set at €5.846m net by the player registration deadline in February 2026. 80% of this threshold, or €4.677m, had to be committed by the start of the 2025-26 season on 30/09/2025.
