OL Lyonnes: Wendie Renard chosen to be part of the "Fresque des Lyonnais" in 2026 following a poll

Wendie Renard (168 caps for France as of 04/11/2025), captain of OL Lyonnes (Arkema Première Ligue), has been chosen to be part of the "Fresque des Lyonnais" (Fresco of the people of Lyon) in 2026, a work that pays tribute to the city's leading figures, announced the club on 03/11/2025.

"Six new characters will be joining the Fresque de Lyonnais. Two of them were unveiled on Monday by artists from Cité Création (mural design): Laurent Gerra (actor) and Wendie Renard. Recognised by her peers on the national and international stage, this is a further tribute to Wendie Renard, who will join the 36 other characters already featured on the trompe l'oeil mural on rue de la Martinière, near the quays of the Saône," explained OL Lyonnes.

Wendie Renard was one of the six local personalities voted most highly in a poll organised by the French regional daily Le Progrès and Cité Création, which is responsible for updating the mural.
