Brazil: adidas and Umbro (five clubs each) are the main kit suppliers of the championship in 2015

The German brand Adidas and the British brand Umbro are, with five clubs under contract apiece, the main suppliers of the Brazilian Serie A for the 2015 season which started on 09/05/2015.

The brand, which has three stripes as its logo, is the kit supplier to three major Brazilian clubs: Flamengo, Fluminense and Palmeiras. Umbro, which belongs to the American Iconix Brand Group, replaced Brazilian brand Penalty as the kit supplier to Vasco da Gama. The Rio de Janeiro club is back in the Brazilian Serie A after spending the 2014 season in the lower division. The contract, which will last until the end of the 2017 season, is estimated at €4.8m per year, including royalties on the sale of co-branded products. Umbro also replaced the Brazilian sports equipment manufacturer Topper, who have been under contract with Gremio Porto Alegre since 2011. The new agreement is estimated at between 15 and 17m reais a year (€4.4m to €5m) for the 2015-2018 period.
