Hellas Verona: plans for a new stadium on the site of the current Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi

Hellas Verona FC (Serie A Enilive) have launched the process of developing a new stadium on the site of the current Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi (39,211 capacity, Verona, ITA), announced the club on 04/11/2025.

To this end, Hellas Verona have submitted a feasibility study to the municipality's technical offices, "the first step in a long process that will see the club and its owners, fully engaged alongside representatives of the city administration and national authorities," said the club, which was bought by US investment fund Presidio Investors in January 2025.

"The timing of Hellas Verona's feasibility study submission aligns with the FIGC and UEFA timelines for consideration to host Euro 2032 (Italy and Turkey joint bid), an event the club sees as an important opportunity for Verona and Italy," added Hellas Verona.

The identification of the five Italian stadiums that will host Euro 2032 must be made public by October 2026 at the latest, and the necessary work launched before March 2027, as indicated by the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio on 08/08/2025.
