Piracy: 14 platforms with 8 million users blocked in Latin America with the support of LALIGA

A court order has blocked "14 illegal streaming platforms with millions of paying users in Latin America. These are platforms that operate globally with around 8 million paying users, with a strong presence in Latin America. In total, 28 platforms will be deactivated this month," announced LALIGA on 04/11/2025.

"The greatest impact has been seen so far in Brazil, as 74% of the paying customers for these applications were located there," added the Spanish League, which has joined the proceedings as a civil party. This decision by the Argentinian courts comes after the Alliance Against Audiovisual Piracy (ALIANZA) filed a complaint following "an investigation that lasted over a year". The IPTV network operated "under different brands and charged users between $3 and $5 (between €2.60 and €4.30) per month."
