AC Milan/Inter Milan: sale of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to the two clubs signed by the City of Milan

AC Milan and FC Inter Milan (Serie A Enilive) have announced the signing of the joint acquisition of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (in the San Siro district to the west of the city) and its surrounding areas for €197m from the City of Milan (Lombardy, ITA) on 05/11/2025.

This step comes a month after the Milan City Council approved the deal (24 votes in favour, 20 against, 2 abstentions), on 30/09/2025, at 03:46 CET (after an 11-hour meeting). This is a major step forward for the two clubs' plans to build a new stadium, for which they entered into a partnership with British architects Foster + Partners and American architects Manica on 23/09/2025.

"This new step reflects the shared ambition of Inter and AC Milan, as well as their respective owners, Oaktree and RedBird, to ensure long-term sporting success and to make value-creating investments to support the sustainable growth of the clubs," say the two Milanese clubs.
