USA/Women's football: first NWSL Advisory Board set up to "shape the future of the women's game"

The National Women’s Soccer League has created its first "NWSL Advisory Board", designed to "accelerate the league's growth, deepen its cultural impact, and shape the future of the women's game," announced the body on 06/11/2025.

Conceived and led by Jessica Berman, the league's commissioner until 2028, this body will allow each club to be "represented by up to two delegates. The Advisory Board brings together some of the most influential voices in sports, entertainment, and business, all of whom are current investors in NWSL clubs."

Comprising 20 members (see below) in its first iteration, the board will "help the league unlock new opportunities for partnership, expand fan reach, and strengthen its position as both a premier professional league and a powerful cultural platform." Its members include Olympic skiing medallist Lindsey Vonn (investor in the Utah Royals), NBA player Chris Paul (shareholder in Angel City) and former US international Alex Morgan (San Diego Wave FC).
