Distribution: Intersport France to handle Spanish & Portuguese markets within a "southern European hub"

Intersport France, a branch of Intersport International Corporation (IIC, the entity that brings together all Intersport's activities) for the French and Belgian markets, has been tasked with structuring a "southern European hub" in addition to the management of the Spanish and Portuguese markets, announced the company's president Gérard Leclerc on 07/11/2025.

"This success is the fruit of a collective effort, underway since August 2024, and is in line with the continuity of our transformations: the acquisition of Go Sport (in April 2023), the modernisation of our shops and the launch of our new brand platform," added the head of the Swiss sporting goods retail group.

This announcement comes seven months after Tom Foley, CEO of Go Sport (owned by Intersport France), was appointed CEO of Intersport International Corporation, replacing Steve Evers, who stepped down in January 2025.
