DFB: Holger Blask made general secretary, Stephan Grunwald re-elected treasurer with extended duties

After the German Football Association's (DFB) 45^th ordinary general assembly, held in Frankfurt am Main on 07/11/2025, the DFB's newly-elected board for the 2025-2029 cycle appointed Holger Blask as general secretary at its inaugural meeting, according to the Deutscher Fussball Bund the same day. The promotion follows the re-election of Bernd Neuendorf as DFB president.

Holger Blask succeeds Heike Ullrich (a member of the new board as vice president responsible for women's football) while retaining the position of chairman of the management board of DFB GmbH & Co. KG, the German Football Association's commercial subsidiary which groups together the bulk of its business activities, where he is responsible in particular for marketing, distribution and events.
