UEFA: FedEx (cargo carrier) to be the main partner of the Europa League from 2015-16 to 2017-18

FedEx, an American company specialising in international cargo transport, will be the main partner of the Europa League for three seasons (2015-16 to 2017-2018), announced UEFA on 15/05/2015.

FedEx will obtain visibility on LED pitch-side advertising boards, as well as hospitality packages for all matches in the competition. The agreement includes the opportunity to develop digital activations and the right to use the image of the Europa League, as well as the trophy. The company has become the second partner for this period of the Europa League after adidas, while HTC (electronics), Hankook (tyres) and Western Union (payment services) did not renew contracts that expire at the after the final between FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (UKR) and Sevilla FC (ESP), in Warsaw (POL) on 27/05/2015.

FedEx wants to develop its presence on the European market since the company accounts for only a 5% of market share in the continent 2014, far behind the German company DHL (19%) and the American company UPS (16%).
