Formula 1: Ahmed Iqbal (ex-TikTok) chief marketing officer of the new Cadillac Formula 1 Team

Ahmed Iqbal has been appointed chief marketing officer of Cadillac Formula 1 Team, which will contest its first season in the Formula 1 World Championship in 2026, announced the team on 12/11/2025. Iqbal will be the first person to hold this newly-created position.

"Iqbal will lead the team's global marketing strategy, overseeing brand development, fan engagement, and initiatives that will position the team as a bold, innovative, and fan-first entrant on the global stage," said the team.

Ahmed Iqbal was previously head of automotive for the social network TikTok (from June 2023 to October 2025). He previously held various positions at the social network X (from August 2019 to September 2021) and was also chief of staff at the German car manufacturer Audi for its American subsidiary (from May 2016 to August 2019).
