The third edition of the Unified Football World Cup, which will bring together 12 men's teams and 12 women's teams made up of "athletes with and without intellectual disabilities", will be held in Paris, at the Stade Charléty (20,000 capacity), from 05 to 11/07/2026, announced Special Olympics, "a global sports movement to end discrimination against people with intellectual disabilities through the power of sport", on 17/11/2025. The first two editions were held in the United States, in Chicago (Illinois) in 2018 and Detroit (Michigan) in 2022.

"With the strong support of the French public authorities (the French State, the City of Paris, the Greater Paris Metropolitan Area and the Île-de-France Region) and of the French football community (the FFF & Paris FC, Ligue 1 McDonald's), Special Olympics France will have the unique opportunity to highlight the inclusive power of sport during a time when the whole world will be focused on football," said the organisers, who will be welcoming 324 male and female players and 48 coaches to an event that will involve 500 volunteers for a total…
