World Rugby: Samoa last to qualify for the Rugby World Cup 2027, 24 participating teams decided

Samoa finished first in the rankings of the qualifying tournament held in Dubai (UAE) following their draw with Belgium (13-13) on 18/11/2025 and are therefore the last nation to qualify for the Rugby World Cup 2027, to be held in Australia from 01/10 to 13/11/2027.

The 24 teams qualified for this 11^th edition, marked by the increase from 20 to 24 participants, have now been decided. By continent, they are as follows:
• Europe (10): England, Scotland, Spain, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Wales;
• Oceania (5): Australia (host country), Fiji, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga;
• Americas (5): Argentina, Canada, Chile, United States, Uruguay;
• Asia (2): Hong Kong (for the first time), Japan;
• Africa (2): South Africa (two-time title holders) and Zimbabwe.

The draw for the group phase of the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027 will be made on 03/12/2025 and broadcast live in Australia on Channel Nine (Nine Entertainment), on international channels and on World Rugby's free OTT platform RugbyPass TV.
