Sports betting: Betclic first French operator to receive RG Check player protection certification

Betclic Group has become "the first and only French operator" to obtain international RG Check certification, an audit that assesses gambling operators' commitment to responsible gambling in order to protect players, announced the French group on 20/11/2025.

The RG Check certification, carried out by the Responsible Gambling Council (an independent not-for-profit organisation), covers more than 200 criteria, including prevention strategy, training, governance and responsible communications (marketing practices).

In this audit of 170 gaming operators, Betclic obtained a score of 89.44/100, "the third-best global performance and became the first French operator to receive the label". Betclic, which frequently uses sport in its advertising, scored 97/100 in the "marketing communications" section, "ensuring ethical practices and the protection of vulnerable audiences."
