NFL: a local economic impact of over €70m from the regular season game in Madrid on 16/11/2025

The NFL regular season game between the Washington Commanders and the Miami Dolphins (13-16), played at the Bernabéu (Madrid, ESP), home of Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports), on Sunday 16/11/2025, generated an economic impact of more than €70m for the city, according to Madrid City Council on 17/11/2025.

78,610 spectators attended the game, which was the first NFL game (excluding pre-season) to be held in Spain. Among the data provided by the City of Madrid:
• 42,000 international tourists came to attend the game, according to data from Hostelería Madrid;
• a 90% fill rate for hotels in the city's districts;
• €21.2m in revenue generated by the catering sector, with an average daily spend of between €50 and €100 per international tourist.

"The city rallied around the NFL's programme of activities, which kicked off on Tuesday 11/11 with the arrival of a delegation of almost 180 people from the Miami Dolphins," said the City Council.
