Rugby Football Union: O2 (telecoms) extends as main shirt sponsor of England national teams until 2031

O2, a British mobile phone operator, has extended its relationship with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) as a major partner and main shirt sponsor of England's national teams for a further five years, "until at least 2031," announced the Rugby Football Union on 20/11/2025.

"The partnership, which entered its fourth decade this year, has been a pivotal force in growing the sport since rugby union's inception as a professional game in 1995, and is showing no signs of slowing down," said the body, whose partnership with O2 will span 37 years.

The previous extension, signed on 19/10/2020, covered the 2021-2026 cycle (£7.5m/€8.2m, per year), during which O2 undertook "to commit to equal marketing investment in the men's and women's games" an arrangement that has been renewed as part of this new agreement.
