Italy/UEFA: Sky & Amazon retain TV rights to men's European Cups (2027-2031)

The pay-TV operator Sky Italia has renewed its broadcasting rights to the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League with UEFA via Relevent Football Partners for the 2027-2031 cycle, effective 20/11/2025.

Sky Italia will broadcast 184 out of 203 Champions League matches on an exclusive basis, as well as all 342 matches in the other two competitions over the period.

The operator, which broadcast 185 Champions League matches over the previous cycle, lost one match - Thursday's top fixture on Matchday 1 in the league phase of the Champions League - to Amazon.

The American group has acquired this match and extended its exclusive broadcasting rights to the Champions League Wednesday night fixture for its Prime Video platform for the 2027-2031 cycle (18 matches per season) in Italy (as well as Germany), for a total of 19 matches broadcast. Amazon held the exclusive rights to the Wednesday night fixture (16 games per season + the UEFA Super Cup) for an estimated €80m per season over the 2021-2024 cycle.
