The German sports equipment manufacturer adidas announced the launch of a new range of football boots with two new models "X" and "Ace", as well as the end of production of its current line of boots (f50, Predator, Nitrocharge and 11Pro), in a video posted on social networks on 17/05/2015. The two new models "X" and "Ace" of this new line will reflect "the only two types of players on the field that modern soccer teams need", and will be announced on 25/05/2015.

The video released by adidas presents several players, such as Lionel Messi (ARG, FC Barcelona), Thomas Müller (GER, FC Bayern Munich), Luis Suarez (ARG, FC Barcelina) and Oscar (BRA, Chelsea FC), who show the disappearance of current models, the appearance of new shoes and reveal the logos of the two future models. To promote this change, adidas launched a new viral campaign on their social networks with the hashtag #bethedifference. Future models will be worn by players under contract with the brand during the final of the Champions League in 2015 in Berlin (GER) on 06/06/2015 at 20:45 CET.
