Spain/UEFA: Telefonica to continue broadcasting men's European Cups from 2027-2031 (€366m/year)

The Spanish telecommunications operator Telefonica has extended its exclusive full broadcasting rights to the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League for its pay-TV subsidiary Movistar for the 2027-2031 cycle (four seasons) in Spain on 20/11/2025.

Telefonica will pay a total of €1.464bn under the agreement, which corresponds to €366m per season, an increase of 14% compared with the 2024-2027 cycle (€320m per year, €960m in total), which covers just three seasons.

The public broadcasting group RTVE has also extended its free-to-air broadcasting rights to the Champions League final, which it has held since the 2022-23 season.
