France/UEFA: Canal+ retains full TV rights to men's European Cups (2027-2031)

Canal+ has extended its rights to broadcast all European men's football competitions (Champions League, Europa League & Conference League) for the 2027-2031 cycle (four seasons) with UEFA via Relevent Football Partners, announced the group on 20/11/2025.

Canal+ will pay slightly less than the €480m currently paid annually to UEFA for these rights over the 2024-2027 cycle, according to the sports daily L'Équipe, which added that beIN SPORTS France and the Paramount Skydance group (which owns the American group CBS and the Paramount+ platform) also submitted bids.

The free-to-air broadcast of the Champions League final, the rights to which are currently held by free-to-air TV group M6 for €4m per season, have reportedly been acquired by the private free-TV group TF1 for "just under €2m per year," according to L'Équipe.
