esports/LFP: 10^th edition of the eLigue 1 McDonald's from 03/12/2025 to 02/04/2026 with 8 teams

The tenth edition of the eLigue 1 McDonald's, the Ligue de Football Professionnel's official professional esports championship played on the EA SPORTS FC 26 football video game (EA Sports), will take place from 03/12/2025 to 02/04/2026 with eight teams, announced the governing body on 24/11/2025.

Organised with the agency Webedia (successor to Hopscotch Sport), the competition will be played exclusively on the PS5 console from PlayStation (Sony), official partner the event. The LFP will once again be awarding a total of €60,000 to the top four teams. Each team consists of two players and represents a club from either the Ligue 1 McDonald's or Ligue 2 BKT.

For this new edition, the League is introducing four new features:
• "The three best players in the world, from the Top 3 of the last EA SPORTS FC Pro World Championship (ManuBachoore, Brice, Levi de Weerd), will play in the French league this season;
• the regular season will be played over two legs, offering twice as many matches and the certainty that all the players will play each other at least once;
