MLS: the investor group of Los Angeles FC presents its stadium proposal to the city

The investor group of Los Angeles FC, a future MLS franchise, presented a proposal for a new stadium to the Los Angeles city council, announced the group on 18/05/2015. The proposed project includes a sports complex, the cost of which is estimated at $250m (approximately €220m), which includes of 22,000-seater stadium, a conference centre, a restaurant and a museum.

Funding for the project will be fully insured by the 24-person investor group of Los Angeles FC. The complex would be located on the site of the Sports Arena (16,000 seats, construction cost: $7.4m, opened in 1959) in the heart of the city of Los Angeles. The group hopes to have the project approved by July 2015. The new stadium would be the first outdoor stadium dedicated to professional sport within the Los Angeles city limits since the construction of Dodger Stadium (baseball stadium, 56,000 seats) in 1962.
