Borussia Dortmund: expanded duties for Carsten Cramer, named spokesperson for the management board

Carsten Cramer, a member of Borussia Dortmund's (Bundesliga) board of directors responsible for sales, marketing and digitalisation, has been appointed spokesperson for the management board by BVB's presidential committee, according to the club on 26/11/2025.

This announcement comes three days after Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of Borussia Dortmund from 2005 to November 2025, was elected club president at the general meeting on 23/11/2025.

Carsten Cramer's duties have been expanded, as he will also take over responsibility for the club's strategy, communications and internationalisation departments.

The presidential committee also appointed Svenja Schlenker, previously chair of the works council, to the position of head of human resources. "Her responsibilities will continue to include girls' and women's soccer at Borussia Dortmund."

• As part of this reorganisation, Thomas Treß Managing director for corporate and finances @ Borussia Dortmund (BVB)
  will remain in charge of finance, organisation, legal affairs and investor relations, while Lars Ricken will continue as head of sports.
