Switzerland: turnover of €1.3bn & added value of €712m generated by top flight clubs in 2024-25

The Brack Super League and its 12 clubs generated total direct and indirect turnover (revenue from companies, organisations or sectors involved) of CHF1.29bn (€1.38bn) and a cumulative added value (total value of goods and services produced, minus services purchased from third parties) of CHF665m (€712m) during the 2024-25 season, announced the Swiss Football League on 26/11/2025.

The SFL conducted this study 11 years after its last iteration in 2013-14, with EBP (a Swiss consulting firm) and the Institute for Tourism and Mobility at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. It "examines for the first time the direct and indirect economic effects of the top two Swiss divisions, based on club data, a representative survey of spectators and an analysis of the entire value chain."

Among the figures highlighted by the Swiss League for 2024-25:
• A 63% increase in turnover and a 47% increase in added value between 2013-14 and 2024-25;
• 4,385 full-time jobs created by the 12 first division clubs, "an effect comparable to Google Switzerland";
