MLB: Snapchat to allow highlight videos filmed by fans on its "Our Stories" service

Snapchat, the photo and video sharing mobile application, has partnered with MLBAM, the subsidiary that manages the media rights of the MLB, and will present videos shot by fans during matches on its "Our Stories" service every Wednesday or Thursday, according to several US media outlets on 15/05/2015. This partnership involves no financial transaction between the two parties. Snapchat and MLB hope to generate 10 million views a week through the device.

The Our Stories service will allow MLB fans to post videos on the official Snapchat "Story" by geolocalising in a stadium on gamedays. Snapchat will then make a selection of the videos uploaded by fans and put them online on the official Snapchat Story that is visible to all users. Both parties expect to sell advertising space on these Stories.
