Spain/Telefonica: distribution agreement extended with DAZN for several competitions (NBA, Serie A, etc.)

Telefonica, owner of the Movistar Plus+ pay-TV bouquet, has extended its partnership with DAZN to distribute competitions for which the OTT platform holds the rights in Spain, announced the Spanish telecommunications operator on 02/12/2025.

Under the new agreement, Movistar Plus+ subscribers will be able to watch the entire Liga Endesa, a selection of NBA and NFL games and one match per matchday from Serie A Enilive and Bundesliga from 11/12/2025. DAZN owns the rights in Spain to Liga Endesa (2025-2030), the NBA (from 2025-26, with Amazon), the NFL (from 2025), Serie A Enilive (2024-2027) and the Bundesliga (2025-2029).

This extended collaboration between the two broadcasters has been announced four days after they extended their domestic media rights for LALIGA EA Sports for the 2027-2032 cycle (five seasons), on 28/11/2025. The total value of the Spanish top flight rights over the period will be €5.25bn, i.e. €1.05bn per season, up 6% on the current cycle (€990m per year, €4.95bn in total for 2022-2027).
