UEFA: Germany chosen to host the Women's Euro 2029

Germany will host the Women's Euro 2029, after being named as the host country by the UEFA Executive Committee reunited in Nyon (Switzerland), on 03/12/2025. The German bid received 15 votes in the first round, over the joint bid submitted by Denmark and Sweden (2 votes). Poland's bid received no vote.

16 teams will participate in the competition held in eight cities chosen by the Deutscher Fussball Bund: Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover, Leipzig, Munich and Wolfsburg.

"We are proud and delighted to be hosting Women's Euro 2029. We would like to thank UEFA for the trust they have placed in us. Hosting such an important tournament is an honour, but it also comes with a great deal of responsibility. Following the wonderful Women's Euro 2025 in Switzerland, we want to set new standards. We are absolutely convinced that the tournament in Germany will attract more than a million fans and that UEFA will make a financial profit for the first time with a Women’s Euro," said Bernd Neuendorf, president of the DFB.
