FIFA: first "Peace Prize - Football Unites the World" awarded to Donald Trump, president of the USA

Donald Trump, 47^th president of the United States of America, co-host country of the 2026 World Cup (with Canada and Mexico), has received the first FIFA "Peace Prize - Football Unites the World" from its president Gianni Infantino on the occasion of the draw for the tournament held in Washington DC (USA), on 05/12/2025.

This new prize will henceforth be awarded annually to "individuals who, through their unwavering commitment and their special actions, have helped to unite people all over the world in peace," announced the international federation on 05/11/2025.

"FIFA is awarding this 2025 prize to Donald Trump in recognition of his extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity in the world. Like all of us here, we see images of war and conflict, and we suffer for every child who dies, for every mother who loses a loved one. We want to see peace, unity and a better future.
