EFC: a record €465m per season for clubs not taking part in UEFA competitions

The commercial growth of UEFA's European club competitions has resulted in a record €465m per season in solidarity payments to non-participating clubs, representing "circa 10% of the competition revenues," declared the European Football Clubs (EFC) after its board meeting held in Amsterdam (NED) on 02/12/2025.

Other figures highlighted by the EFC illustrating strategic partnership with FIFA:
• For the 2026 World Cup, "an enhanced FIFA Club Benefits Programme will distribute $355m to clubs worldwide";
• a "$250m solidarity commitment from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, which was agreed by FIFA and EFC through their strategic partnership leading into the tournament delivered in the United States in June and July this year."
