UEFA/multi-club ownership: assessment date maintained at 01/03/2026 for the 2026-27 season

"The UEFA Executive Committee has confirmed, at its meeting of 03/12/2025 (in Nyon, Switzerland), that the 01/03 assessment date provided in Article 5.01 of the UEFA club competition regulations (regarding multi-club ownership) will continue to apply for the 2026-27 season," announced the European confederation on 08/12/2025.

This announcement, which concerns UEFA club competition regulations, was "deemed necessary to provide clarity and predictability to clubs ahead of next season and to enable them to prepare ahead of time and ensure compliance by 01/03," added the body.

Two clubs, Drogheda United FC (Irish D1) and FK DAC 1904 (Slovak D1), excluded from the 2025-26 Conference League by UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) before the start of the season, had appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Drogheda United had justified its appeal by stating that it had not been informed that this evaluation date, initially scheduled for 03/06/2025, had been brought forward, while FK DAC assured that the bringing forward of the assessment date was "invalid and not…
