NFL: two new regular season games at the Allianz Arena in Munich (GER), in 2026 and 2028

As part of a multi-year partnership with FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and the city of Munich (Germany), the National Football League "will return to the Bavarian capital in 2026 and 2028," announced the two parties on 10/12/2025. Two NFL regular season games were already played at the Allianz Arena, in 2022 and 2024.

"Germany is a key market for the NFL globally, with more than 20 million fans of the game, the largest fanbase in Europe. In addition to the regular season games, the NFL will work with the City of Munich across their major sports development program to grow and develop flag football - the non-contact format of the game that will be included in the Olympic Games of LA28 - with a focus on growing NFL Flag participation," declared the NFL.

Five NFL regular season games have already been held in Germany: those in 2022 and 2024 in Munich, two at Eintracht Frankfurt's Deutsche Bank Park in 2023 and one at Berlin's Olympiastadion in 2025. Two other games are scheduled in the German capital, in 2027 and 2029.
