Cagliari: new shareholders Maurizio Fiori and Prashant Gupta appointed to the board of directors

Maurizio Fiori, a native of Sardinia (Italy) and managing director of Praxis Capital Management, and Prashant Gupta, an American entrepreneur, have been appointed to the board of directors of Cagliari Calcio (Serie A Enilive), as vice-president and member respectively, said the club on 10/12/2025.

The announcement comes after the acquisition of a minority stake in the club by a group of US-based investors led by Maurizio Fiori was approved on the same day. "The transaction involves the acquisition of a qualified minority stake, marking a significant step in the club's long-term growth strategy," added Cagliari Calcio. The stake is between 30% and 40% of Cagliari's capital according to several Italian media outlets
