Ligue 1 McDonald's: sale of the Stade Bollaert-Delelis to RC Lens finalised (€27m)

The sale of the Stade Bollaert-Delelis (38,223 capacity) by the City of Lens (Pas-de-Calais, France) to RC Lens (Ligue 1 McDonald's) has been finalised, announced the club on 14/12/2025.

The municipal Council of the City approved the sale of the stadium on 21/05/2025 for €27m. Until then, the club was playing in the stadium under an administrative long lease due to expire in 2052, in return for a fixed annual rent of €400,000. With this purchase, the club becomes the third in Ligue 1 in 2025-26 to own its own stadium, alongside AJ Auxerre (Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps) and Olympique Lyonnais (Groupama Stadium).

"Beyond its historical and symbolic significance, this acquisition represents a major lever for Racing Club de Lens. Full ownership of the stadium gives the club total control over its infrastructure, enabling it to continue its development," said the club.
