Liga BBVA: FC Barcelona have an economic impact of €759m to the city (Deloitte)

The economic impact of FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) to the city of Barcelona is estimated at €759m, or 1.2% of the city's GDP, according to a report from the English audit and consultancy firm Deloitte, and presented on 20/05/2015.

The public activities of FC Barcelona, such as the 1.5 million visitors to the club's museum, represent 6% of the tourism revenues of the city, states the report. Currently the club generates 15,200 jobs, or the equivalent of 15% of the number of unemployed workers in Barcelona. The urban project "Espai Barça", which includes the remodeling of the Camp Nou at a cost of €600m, will generate €917m of GDP for the city and create 3,300 additional jobs.
