FFF: "A €8.7m deficit which is consistent with our choices and vision" (V. Lainé, general treasurer)

"We are fully aware of this deficit, which is consistent with our choices and vision. We have invested in the right areas, supported our ecosystem when needed, secured strong partnerships for the future, and continued to support the development of grassroots football, which remains central to our mission," said Véronique Lainé, general treasurer of the French Football Federation, regarding the body's €8.682m deficit posted at the end of the 2024-25 financial year (from 01/07/2024 to 30/06/2025).

The FFF presented its financial results during its federal assembly in Paris (FRA) on 13/12/2025.

The €3.1m difference between revenue (€287.2m) and expenses (€290.3m) can only partially account for this unusual deficit. On top of this came a €10m debt write-off granted to professional clubs: "We contributed €10m in aid to professional football, with an additional €6m lost between the projected TV rights and the actual amount," said Philippe Diallo, president of the FFF, on 22/11/2025.
