Euroleague Basketball has entered into a partnership with Sportian (a joint venture between LALIGA and the digital transition consultancy Globant) to tackle the piracy of sports broadcasts of its competitions, announced the organisation on 16/12/2025.

Euroleague will be able to use the Piracy Guard service, developed by LALIGA's in-house anti-piracy team, enabling it to "to automatically detect, report and remove illegal broadcasts across IPTV, web, and mobile app platforms," said the company that organises the EuroLeague and the BKT EuroCup.

"Reducing piracy protects the flexible, modern, and dynamic viewing experience offered by its streaming service EuroLeague TV, while protecting the investment of its global broadcast partners and ensuring the league can continue to innovate in how it delivers the competition to fans around the world."

Sportian is also a parner of several organisations in the fight against piracy, including Lega Serie A, LALIGA, Dorna Sports (organiser of the MotoGP World Championship) and the television group Sky Mexico.
