FIFA and Netflix are to launch a licensed football simulation ahead of the 2026 World Cup that will be available exclusively on the Netflix Games platform, announced the two parties on 17/12/2025.

The title is being developed and published by US studio Delphi Interactive. It will be a television-based game playable solo or online via a smartphone or controller, accessible to Netflix subscribers. The title and release date have not been disclosed.

FIFA, which entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with Football Manager (video game, SEGA Sammy) on 17/10/2025, has no longer been associated with Electronic Arts since 2023, following the non-renewal of the contract that linked the world governing body to the video game publisher since 1993.

  • Netflix has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights, from FIFA, for the Women's World Cup 2027 and the Women's World Cup 2031 for Canada and United States.
