TotalEnergies AFCON 2025: a record of 20 media rights agreements in over 30 European countries

The TotalEnergies AFCON 2025, to be held in Morocco from 21/12/2025 to 18/01/2026, benefits from a record 20 media rights agreements across more than 30 countries in Europe, announced the Confederation of African Football on 17/12/2025.

In France, the competition will be broadcast in full and exclusively on the pay-TV channels of beIN SPORTS France. The Qatari group holds the broadcasting rights to CAF competitions, including the AFCON, for the 2017-2028 period for an estimated amount of $415m (€353m). This agreement covers, outside Europe, more than 40 countries across the MENA and APAC regions, as well as the United States and Canada.

Among the main broadcasters of the competition in Europe are:
• the free-to-air private channel Channel 4 in the United Kingdom;
• the pay-TV platform Movistar (Telefonica Group) in Spain;
• the Italian pay-TV channel Sportitalia in Italy;
• the pay-TV channel Sportdigital in Germany.
