Olympique de Marseille: new occupancy agreement of the Orange Vélodrome until 2041 (15 years)

Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 McDonald's) and the City of Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône, FRA) have reached an agreement on a new occupancy agreement of the Orange Vélodrome (66,226 capacity) for a period of 15 years, i.e. until 2041, announced the club at the end of the city council meeting on 18/12/2025.

"This agreement responds to recommendations made at ministerial level and by the regional audit office, setting out clear, balanced and sustainable conditions for the stadium's operation, both for the club and for the local authority and all stakeholders. Through this agreement, Olympique de Marseille confirms its commitment to an ambitious and sustainable project that serves its supporters and promotes Marseille's sporting and economic influence," said OM.

In 2024, the Regional Chamber of Accounts indicated that the stadium, owned by the City of Marseille, was costing it "more than €10m a year". The fixed rent paid by OM for the use of the stadium, initially set at €5m, was increased to €6.5m in 2020 and then to €8m in 2023. The amount of the new fixed rend has not been disclosed…
