Austria: Ottakringer extends as the official beer supplier of Rapid Vienna

The Austrian brewer Ottakringer has extended its agreement to remain the official beer supplier to SK Rapid Wien (Austria) from the summer of 2016, when Rapid Vienna will move into their new home, the Allianz Stadion (capacity 24,200) for the 2016-17 Austrian Bundesliga season, announced the club on 18/05/2015. The length nor the amount of the deal were not disclosed.

Ottakringer, based in Vienna (AUT), has been a historical partner of the club since 1994. "I am very pleased that we were able to present our beer partner 15 months preceding the opening of the Allianz Stadion. (...) This is further evidence of the economic foundations for the successful sporting future (of SK Rapid Wien)," stated Christoph Pescek, the CEO of the Vienna club.

• SK Rapid Wien is currently in 2^nd place in the 2014-15 Austrian Bundesliga, with 60 points after 33 games.
