OGC Nice: president Fabrice Bocquet steps down, Jean-Pierre Rivère returns

OGC Nice (Ligue 1 McDonald's) and Fabrice Bocquet, the club’s president and CEO since summer 2025, have "mutually agreed to end their collaboration," announced the club on 19/12/2025.

“In a spirit of responsibility and constructive dialogue, both parties considered it appropriate to open a new chapter in order to allow the club to regain momentum in line with its objectives,” added OGC Nice.

Fabrice Bocquet served as OGC Nice’s CEO from September 2022 until summer 2025, before being promoted following the departure of Jean-Pierre Rivère, who had been president of the club since 2011 (with the exception of a seven-month interlude linked to a change of ownership prior to Ineos’ arrival in 2019). Two months after leaving the club, Jean-Pierre Rivère announced that he was joining the list led by Éric Ciotti (far right) for the 2026 municipal elections in Nice.
