"This TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 will be the best in history. The level of football on the continent has continued to improve. The Moroccan government and people have invested heavily in infrastructure, and international interest has been strengthened as a result. The number of television channels around the world, outside Africa, broadcasting Moroccan football… all the conditions are in place to deliver an exceptional edition, both from a sporting and organisational standpoint," said Patrice Motsepe, president of CAF, on 16/12/2025.

"All stakeholders in African football must continue their efforts in order to further strengthen the continent’s global standing and consolidate the development momentum built up over several years," added the South African executive.
