Wolverhampton: executive chairman Jeff Shi steps down, interim role taken over by Nathan Shi (Fosun)

Jeff Shi has stepped down as executive chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Premier League), a position he had held since June 2017, announced the club on 19/12/2025. He nevertheless remains chairman and CEO of Fosun Sports Group, the holding company that has owned the club since 2016 and a subsidiary of Fosun International, a Chinese conglomerate operating in the fields of healthcare, finance and entertainment.

He is replaced on an interim basis by Nathan Shi (no family relation), director of projects and real estate financing within the development division of Club Med (all-inclusive holidays), which is owned by Fosun. This appointment "is subject to the completion of all requisite legal, regulatory and Premier League procedures".

This departure comes amid supporter discontent linked to the club’s sporting situation. Wolves are 20^th after 17 matchdays in the 2025-26 Premier League season, with just two points in the standings.
